Abstract

Foreman, Dave, et al., eds., Earth First! 3, no. 5 (21 June 1983). Republished by the Environment & Society Portal, Multimedia Library. http://www.environmentandsociety.org/node/6843.

In this issue of Earth First!, stories about the NO-GO ROAD movement continue. Road blockaders had been assaulted by bulldozers; one bulldozer operator, Fred Brown, was quoted as saying, “If you don’t get out of the way, I’m going to kill you!” The issue also discusses a thorough draft plan by EF! members Dave Foreman, Howie Wolke, and Bart Koehler for a Wilderness Preserve System for the Lower 48 states.

"[…] humans have no divine right to subdue the Earth, […] we are merely one of several million forms of life on this planet."

— Dave Foreman, Howie Wolke, and Bart Koehler
