Abstract

Dustrud, Pete, et al., eds., Earth First! 2, no. 4 (20 March 1982). Republished by the Environment & Society Portal, Multimedia Library. http://www.environmentandsociety.org/node/6831.

In this issue of Earth First!, Earth First! sets up a foundation. Benjamin Read interviews one of United States’ most admired conservationists, Margaret Thomas “Mardy” Murie (1902–2003), who also was a naturalist, author, and adventurer.

"Whatever inspiration you get might make you a nice sweet personality, but unless you try to do something to save the planet with this personality, then it hasn’t profited the world anything."

— Mardy Murie
