Abstract

Dustrud, Pete, et al., eds., Earth First! 2, no. 2 (21 December 1981). Republished by the Environment & Society Portal, Multimedia Library. http://www.environmentandsociety.org/node/6823.

In this issue of Earth First!, the editors discuss the journal’s core topics, contributions, and accomplishments within the environmental grassroots movement in the US. The issue focuses on the half-million-acre Gros Ventre Range in northwest Wyoming, which was exploited by the Getty Oil Company for natural gas.

"The Oil and Gas War On the Wilderness is EARTH FIRST!’s number one issue for the Rocky Mountain West: the Gros Ventre is the first battle in that war."
