One quick look at Edward Abbey’s Monkey Wrench Gang exposes the racism and sexism that poisoned the movement throughout the 1980s. […] We should be proud of everyone in the movement, and stop blaming the youth, whose contumacious allegiance to anti-oppression would have impressed Abbey, himself. I definitely would not be a part of EF! if it weren’t for the strong femalebodied persyns, not to mention LGBQTTI folks like me who aren’t afraid to raise their voice and express themselves to a self-described ‘older generation.’
